Paksa/Topic 1: Ako at ang aking pamilya ay may lahing Pilipino/ My family and I are of Filipino descent

Pag-ugnay sa Kurikulum/ Curriculum Connection:

  1. A.     Agham/ Science:   Mga Bahagi ng Katawan
  2. Layunin/Objective:  Matutunan ang ngalan ng mga bahagi ng katawan. /To name the different parts of the body.

2. Pamamaraan/Procedure:

a. Ipakita ang mga litrato ng mga bahagi ng katawan o iguhit ito habang pinaguusapan ang tawag nito sa Filipino at sa Inggles (o wikang kinagisnan)./ Show printed pictures of parts of the body or draw it along with the child. Try to name them together in Filipino with the English equivalent.

Mga Bahagi ng Katawan/Parts of the Body:

buhok/hair, ulo/head, mga mata/eyes, ilong/nose, bibig/mouth, labi/lips,

dila/tongue, ngipin/teeth, tainga/ears, dibdib/chest, likod/back, kili-kili/armpits,

braso/arms, kamay/hand, daliri/finger, tiyan/stomach, baywang/waist,

puwet/bottom, *ari/sex organs, hita, tuhod, binti, paa

*Sa Filipino, pareho ang salitang ginagamit para sa pribadong bahagi ng katawan ng babae at lalaki. May sinasabi ito sa konserbatibong kultura ng mga Pilipino.

In Filipino, there is only one term to refer to both male and female sexual organs which speaks of the conservative nature of Filipinos.

b. Maglaro ng  «Ano ito  ». Sabihin ang pangalan ng bahagi ng katawan at dapat kunin ng bata ang tamang litrato. Maari ring maglaro ng kilitian subalit isaalang-alang na hindi maaraing kilittin ang mga maseselang bahagi ng katawan./ Play a game of  Ano ito? (What is this?). Say the name of the picture and the child should get the correct one and repeat its name to you. A variation could be to tickle the part that has been mentioned (but the private part should be off limits!).
